Ramiz Raja, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, said that if the Indian cricket team doesn’t play in the Asia Cup, which will be held in Pakistan next year, they won’t play in the ICC ODI World Cup, which will be held in India. According to Ramiz Raja:
“Our position is clear: if the Indian team comes, we will go to the World Cup, but if they don’t come, let them do it. Pakistan shouldn’t be in the game. Who will watch the next year’s World Cup in India if Pakistan doesn’t take part? We will take an aggressive approach. Our team is doing well, we beat the cricket team that makes the most money in the world, and we played in the final of the T20 World Cup. I have always said that we need to make Pakistan cricket more profitable, and the only way to do that is for our team to do well. In the 2021 T20 World Cup, we did just that.
