For the 2023 Indian Premier League, Punjab Kings have hired Sunil Joshi as their spin bowling coach.
Coach Anil Kumble parted ways with Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL Auction 2023, and Joshi will fill his shoes.
In the aftermath of India’s semi-final exit from the T20 World Cup 2022, the BCCI sacked four members of the Selection Committee, including former India spinner Sunil Joshi.
A tweet from Punjab Kings’ official social media account confirmed the news:
The Punjab Kings have hired former Indian left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi as their spin bowling coach.
Joshi, who announced his retirement in 2012, played 15 Test matches for India from 1996 to 2000, taking 41 wickets. Left-arm spinner picked up 110 international wickets.
Punjab Kings announced Shikhar Dhawan as their new captain earlier this week. Also, they got Sam Curran, the most expensive IPL player ever.
