Rajasthan Royals, who are vying for their second IPL crown, are expected to pick an unchanged starting lineup when they face Gujarat Titans in the final.IPL 2022: On Sunday night, RR will play GT in the finals
Jos Buttler’s fourth century of the season
The final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans. After beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in a one-sided Qualifier 2 thanks to Jos Buttler’s fourth century of the season, RR will try to get back at GT, who beat them in Qualifier 1. The last time RR won the IPL title was in 2008, when the late great Shane Warne was in charge. In order to win their second IPL title, RR is likely to keep the same XI for the final match.
The following is how RR and GT might matchup:
Yashasvi Jaiswal
This season, the young first batter has gotten off to good starts, but he hasn’t been able to consistently hit big hits for his team. He’ll try to get RR off to a good start at the top of the list.
Jos Buttler
Buttler is in the lead for the Orange Cap. He has four centuries and more than 800 runs this season. He hit an unbeaten 106 against RCB and will try to pick up where he left off in the last game
Sanju Samson
The RR captain has scored runs in spurts, and he will try to get a big one in the big match. In the final, RR will need him to be in good shape.
Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal has only had one score of 50 or more this season, so he will try to make up for it and end the season on a high note.
Shimron Hetmyer
Shimron Hetmyer will try to give RR a strong finish for the last time this season. He averaged over fifty during his death.
Riyan Parag
Even though Riyan Parag’s returns haven’t been great, the RR management has stuck with it. He is likely to stay in the team. He can also bowl, giving the team a sixth option.
Ravichandran Ashwin
This year, the veteran spinner has been a key part of RR’s run to the final. Ashwin has not only bowled well, but he has also scored some important runs for his team.
Trent Boult
Trent Boult’s form is important for RR’s chances in the match because he has taken 15 wickets in as many games. He has bowled well when he has the strike, but his economy rate at the end has been a little bit of a worry.
Prasidh Krishna
In the last game, the lanky pacer got three wickets, giving him 18 for the season. He will try to do at least as well as before, if not better
Yuzvendra Chahal
The veteran leggie has a good chance of getting the Purple Cap back after Wanindu Hasaranga passed him because he scored more runs overall.
Obed McCoy
The West Indian fast bowler did very well against RCB in the last match. He got three out of 23 and will try to work one more shift to end the season.
