All IPL Winners List – 2008 To 2022

IPL Winner: One of the biggest cricket tournaments in India is the Indian Premier League. The BCCI committee started the IPL in 2007. Lalit Modi was the head of the Indian Premier League. The Indian Premier League began in 2007-2008. The first game of the IPL was played on April 18, 2008. There are eight teams in this year’s IPL. Each team plays one game against another team. This domestic league attracts cricket fans from all over the world.

It’s one of the most prestigious Twenty-20 leagues in the world. Mumbai Indians have had the most success in the IPL. They’ve won it five times and come second once. Another team that won the IPL four times finished second once as well.

Rajasthan Royals were the first IPL winners in 2008

The above teams are playing their first season. The final will be held in India on April 18. At DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals (Winner). 34226000 people packed the stadium. For scoring the most runs and taking the most wickets, Shawn Marsh and Sohil Tanvir got orange and purple caps, respectively. Shane Watson won MVP. In Navi Mumbai, Chennai Super Kings lost to Rajasthan Royals by three wickets. Shane Watson was the tournament’s man of the match.

Shane Warne’s Rajasthan Royals won the first Indian Premier League. In the first edition, the Rajasthan Royals had veteran batsmen like Shane Watson and Graeme Smith, a middle-order explosive batsman in Yusuf Pathan, and a deceptive bowler in Sohail Tanvir. The final against Chennai Super Kings was Yusuf Pathan’s finest bowling and batting. Yusuf took three wickets in less than a bowl and scored 56 off 39 balls.

Deccan Chargers win IPL 2009

IPL 2’s second season was held in South Africa, the first outside India. Deccan Chargers beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2009 final. For scoring the most runs and taking the most wickets, RP Singh and Mathew Hayden got purple and orange caps, respectively. 200 million Indians watched this match.

Deccan Chargers lost six wickets for 143 runs in 20 overs, setting Royal Challengers Bangalore a target of 144. RCB lost nine wickets as they scored 137 runs in 20 overs at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Adam Gilchrist won the match with 495 runs and 18 catches.

Chennai Super Kings won the 2010 IPL

It’s the third season of the IPL. India hosted it. IPL 2010 final between Chennai Super Kings (winner) and Mumbai Indians. The highest run scorer, Sachin Tendulkar (612), and the highest wicket taker, Pragyan Ojha, each got orange and purple caps. 200 million people watched this season. Chennai Super Kings scored 168 runs with five wickets in 20 overs. After losing nine wickets, Mumbai Indians managed only 146 runs in 20 overs. The player of the game was Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 618 runs.

MS Dhoni won the second edition after losing the first. The team was a tournament favorite early on with Suresh Raina, Mathew Hayden, Albie Morkel, Muralitharan, and Dhoni. Suresh Raina was the team’s batting backbone. The Mumbai Indians beat Sachin Tendulkar in the final thanks to his 57 not out of 35.

Chennai Super Kings won the IPL in 2011

This was the fourth season of the Indian Premier League. Ten teams competed in two groups this season. Pune and Kochi teams have joined. There’s a page play-off now. Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore played the 2011 IPL final in Chennai. The most runs were scored by Chris Gayle and the most wickets were taken by Lasith Malinga. After CSK batted first, Royal Challengers Bangalore made 205 runs in 20 overs. RCB lost their second IPL final after losing eight wickets and scoring 147 runs.

CSK won by 58 runs. Murali Vijay was named man of the match for his 95 runs in the final. Chris Gayle scored 608 runs and took eight wickets for RCB.

The Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL in 2012

In India’s fifth IPL season, eight teams played. Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders (winner) in the 2012 IPL final. The most runs were scored by Chris Gayle and Morne Morkel. Sunil Narine won MVP. Suresh Raina scored 73 runs off 38 balls in CSK’s first innings.

Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders scored 192 runs by losing five wickets with two balls to spare, and Manvinder Bisla scored 89 runs. Sunil Narine took 24 wickets in 15 innings and won the match.

Mumbai Indians won the IPL 2013

India hosted the sixth PepsiCo IPL season. Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians (Winner). Michael Hussy and Morne Morkel won orange and purple caps for scoring the most runs and taking the most wickets. The MVP award was given to RR’s Shane Watson. Mumbai Indians lost nine wickets for 148 in 20 overs. Chennai Super Kings lost by 23 runs after scoring 125 runs in 20 overs and losing nine wickets. Rohit Sharma won the IPL with Mumbai Indians.

Shane Watson won the match because of his all-around performance. Rohit Sharma won Mumbai Indians’ first IPL title. MI beat Chennai Super Kings in the 2013 IPL final. The balance was maintained throughout the competition. Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga, and Mitchell Johnson consistently led the team.

Winner of the 2014 IPL: Kolkata Knight Riders

It’s the seventh season of the Indian Premier League. Kolkata Knight Riders won the 2014 IPL final over Kings XI Punjab. For their high run-scoring and wicket-taking performances, Mohit Sharma and Robin Uthappa got orange and purple caps, respectively. Gellen Maxwell led eight teams. Again, the Kolkata Knight Riders chased a big IPL goal. KKR won the IPL Trophy again thanks to Manish Pandey’s 94 off 50 balls. In addition to his 552 runs from 16 innings, Glenn Maxwell was named man of the series.

For the second time in their history, the Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL twice. In contrast to Manvinder Bisla in 2012, Manish Pandey led KKR to 199 runs. In 16 innings, Robin Uthappa scored 660 runs for KKR.

Mumbai Indians win IPLT20 2015

It’s the ninth season of the Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings played in the 2015 IPL final. As top run-scorer and wicket-taker, David Warner and Dwayne Bravo got orange and purple caps, respectively. Andre Russell won MVP. In 20 overs, Mumbai scored 202 runs, losing five wickets. Chennai Super Kings scored 161 runs in 20 overs, missing the match by 41 runs.

Mumbai Indians are the third team to repeat as champions after CSK and KKR. Again, Mumbai Indians’ balance won. Simmons, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayadu, and Pollard all contributed to the batting. Lasith Malinga ran the bowling. Lasith Malinga took 24 wickets to win the purple crown. Dwayne Bravo took two more wickets.
